Registration is now open for the Your Honor: Journey to the Bench symposium, which will take place on May 22 at the Colorado Bar Association in Denver, according to a March 9 announcement. The event is organized by the Judicial Officer Outreach Program and sponsored by the Denver Bar Association.

The symposium aims to support attorneys and aspiring judges who are preparing for judicial appointments within one to three years, as well as current judges interested in advancing to higher courts. It offers practical guidance and networking opportunities designed to help participants better understand the path toward serving on the bench.

Attendees can participate in seven sessions led by judicial officers from across Colorado. Topics include daily life as a judge, building professional connections, navigating the nomination process, overcoming self-doubt, expanding legal expertise beyond one’s specialty, maintaining ethics on the bench, and balancing work with personal life. The event also features “Judges in a Flash: Speed Networking with the Bench,” where participants can interact directly with judges in a structured setting.

“Judicial leadership begins with intention, preparation, and a deep commitment to serve. Your Honor: Journey to the Bench Symposium provides an honest and practical look at the path to the judiciary,” said Nga Vương-Sandoval, judicial officer outreach program lead.
