A jury has found Nathan James Meek, a resident of Colorado Springs, guilty on multiple charges related to drug trafficking and weapons offenses. The United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado confirmed the verdict, which includes charges of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana. Additionally, Meek was convicted of possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

The trial evidence showed that Meek sold significant quantities of narcotics in the Colorado Springs area. He was apprehended on January 18, 2024. During his arrest, authorities seized a cellphone, a firearm, 10 fentanyl pills, 6.2 grams of methamphetamine, and over $3,000 in cash. A subsequent search warrant executed at Meek’s apartment led to the discovery of 2,202 grams of methamphetamine, 131 grams of fentanyl, 80 grams of cocaine, 698 grams of marijuana, and three firearms. Records from Meek’s cellphone indicated drug-related communications from January 1 until his arrest.

The investigation involved efforts by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Colorado Springs Police Department. The case was prosecuted by the Violent Crimes and Immigration Section at the United States Attorney’s Office.
