Colorado state courts announce Thanksgiving holiday closures for November 2025

All Colorado state courts and probation offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in observance of Thanksgiving Day. The Colorado Judicial Branch announced that some locations will also close either the day before or after the holiday.

On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the 13th Judicial District—which covers Kit Carson, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma counties—will close its combined courts and probation offices at noon.

For Friday, November 28, 2025, closures include the Colorado Supreme Clerk’s Office; Colorado Court of Appeals Clerk’s Office; Colorado Judicial Learning Center; Supreme Court Library; as well as various district courts and probation offices across the state. Specific districts with full-day closures include:

– 1st Judicial District (Jefferson and Gilpin counties)
– 2nd Judicial District Denver Probate Office
– 3rd Judicial District (Huerfano and Las Animas counties)
– 4th Judicial District (El Paso and Teller counties)
– 5th Judicial District (Clear Creek, Eagle, Lake and Summit counties)
– 6th Judicial District (Archuleta, La Plata, and San Juan counties)
– 7th Judicial District (Delta, Gunnison, Hinsdale, Montrose, Ouray and San Miguel counties), with district-wide advisements held at 2 p.m. by Webex
– 8th Judicial District (Jackson and Larimer counties), closing at noon
– 9th through the 12th Judicial Districts covering a range of central and southern Colorado counties
– Additional districts including the 15th through the 23rd are also affected

The Weld County bond hearings in the 19th Judicial District will still take place at Weld County Jail at 9 a.m. on Friday.

These schedule changes affect court users statewide during Thanksgiving week.
